Why the fuck am I reading Shaq's Wikipedia page at 4 in the morning?

subinai:

azizisbored:

I spend way too much time just reading random articles on Wikipedia. If I were researching interesting topics and becoming a smarter person, that’d be one thing. However, as I sit here at 4 AM on Shaq’s Wikipedia page, I know that is not the case. I decided to check my Wikipedia history for the past two weeks and its pretty sad.

Given the infinite amount of valuable knowledge I could acquire online, if this is what I have chosen to seek out, perhaps its time for me to just stick to books. Here are some articles I’ve read in the past two weeks. I’m not making these up:

Shaquille O’Neal

Bebop (a villain from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon)

Bebop and Rocksteady (the villain duo to which Bebop belongs)

Jax Briggs (the first African American character from the “Mortal Kombat” videogame series, you wouldn’t believe how long the entry is)

Dim Sum

Jazz (the Transformer)

Isabella Rossellini

All That (Nickelodeon sketch show)

Michael Bower (played Donkey Lips on Nickeolodeon’s Salute Your Shorts)

Awful Waffle (redirected to Salute Your Shorts entry)

There’s other dumb ones that are older than two weeks, but rest assured these are par for the course.

I do this too. Here is what I’ve looked up lately:

Ed Burns

PAL (television standard)

Corn Nuts

Caeser Salad

Africa (the continent)

i loved Salute Your Shorts!! Antics at camp!

so this happened...

last night, my very clever cat escaped into the backyard.  and when he returned, he brought me a present… a HUGE STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE RAT. mind you this was at 11:30pm.

my roommate and i spent the better part of the night wearing rainboots, standing on chairs, my dresser and the kitchen counter wielding brooms and mops.

it was so awful.  the cat kept it cornered, but got bored so it ran into another room.. finally we put the cat and the dog in separate rooms and created a maze of sorts so that we could chase it out - of course he went under my bed and then headed for the door.  after much screaming, several panic attacks and calling about 30 so-called “24-hr emergency pest control” places, my mom and andy, we were able to chase the big fucker out.

we mopped, lysoled, the cat went to the vet (who very nicely sedated him for blood tests so that i could easily bathe him at home).

anyway - that is probably one of the most traumatizing nyc events that has ever happened to me.

give me a mouse, a roach, some kind of bug - totes ok, but rats are the absolute worst.

welcome to nyc yuriko!
